Trans Dermal Piercing - Healing Info

Microdermal piercings are very popular body piercings nowadays. It's also know as dermal anchoring or microdermal implants. They are considered as alternative to surface body piercing because they are semi permanent . They are quick and convenient. The technique and size is also so easy that you can have it done practically anywhere on your body.
Transdermal implants, surface piercings and dermal anchoring are all piercing techniques that place jewelry much deeper than the through-and-through piercing done in ears. Microdermal piercings are a less invasive method used to achieve a similar look as other implants.

Trans dermal implants are a cross between pocketing and sub dermal implants. The piece that goes under the skin is flat on the bottom, while the part that sticks out of the skin is not. The top can be sharp like a spike or smooth like a ball depending on the look the person is going for. The basic procedure of a trans dermal implant is:

Marking the spot or spots to be implanted.
A scalpel is used to make an incision and a dermal elevator is used to make a pocket under the skin.
Using special tools so that the tissue isn’t damaged, a hole is made for the implant to pass through.

Hello Mr.Perez! To be honest, it's a real pleasure to make an interview with you. I'm pretty sure that your unique style inspire a lot of people out there. You seem to be very dedicated and passionate artist. In the very beginning of this interview, let's start with some basic info about you...

Q: What made you to become a tattoo artist?
A: I was 16 when I got my first tattoo and that experience was a turning point in my life, from that day forward I knew that I would be a tattoo artist, there was just something about putting art on someone’s body that captivated me.

Q: How long have you been tattooing?
A: I have been a professional tattoo artist for about 10 years now, but I have been making people bleed for 14 years.

Q: How did you start your career? Did you have an artistic background growing up?
A: Growing up I was always into art, mostly comic books. I would draw up my own characters back then and I would give them all back stories and bio sheets, which was lots of fun. I always thought that someday I would be a comic book illustrator but tattooing over shadowed all other possibilities.

Q: Do you have any influences, like role models?
A: Yes, I have many, but I have to give credit for my artistic growth to Nick Baxter. I began getting tattooed by him about 8 years ago and even though he was probably only a few years into his carrier he was thinking outside the box and pushing his art to the limits and that inspired me and really motivated me to try to do that same. Also, I have always been very fortunate to be surrounded by so many incredible artists, like the crew I work with now at Hope Gallery. They were big motivators early in my career and they still play the same role today.

Q: Some people say that it is possible to be self though artist. What are your thoughts about this? How did you learn the tattoo skills?
A: I’m a perfect example of a self-taught artist. I never did an apprenticeship. My first tattoo machine was homemade and my first few years working were spent in a friend’s basement or at parties, where I would tattoo with two different colors of non-toxic pen ink that I stole from the art store, and a filed down guitar string for a needle. Everything I learned was from trial and error.

Q: Looking at your portfolio is a great way to get inspired. There are lots of tattoo styles that you do. Is there any favorite?
A: I always wanted to be a well-rounded tattoo artist, so I did try to master many styles, but nowadays I narrowed it down to a few styles that I enjoy doing on a daily basis. I like cartoon colorful stuff, bio-organic, and realistic subject matter.

Hello Jace Masula! To be honest, It's a real honor to talk with you. I've been following your art progress in the past few years and I can say that I'm really amazed! Your work is something that I find unique, inspirational and fascinating. I bet, your very dedicated in all you do and your tattoo work is your best creative journey.
Magazine covers, working with many great artists, tattoo awards etc etc. So much to be told and to be remembered. I'm pretty sure that your just another role model to many artists out there...

In the very beginning, let's start with some basic info

Q: When did you start doing tattoos? What made you to become a tattoo artist?
A: I started my apprenticeship in 2006 they had just passed the laws to be tattooed in South Carolina and I walked into the only shop within 100 miles to ask for an apprenticeship. The owner told me to 'fuck off' but I came back everyday, ripping up carpet and carrying trash to the dumpsters ... showing up for two weeks, until they thought I worked there. I always wanted a job where I could be an artist for a living. In my younger years, I followed a path of culinary arts and eventually a path in graphic
design. It wasn't until my early 30's that I decided to give tattooing a crack, I haven't looked back since.

Q: What kind of art interested you at the time?
A: I am interested in all types of art, I can appreciate mediums that most people would over look. I dabble in furniture making and computer video game development, and I am fascinated with the process in which art is created as much as the final product itself.

Q: Some people say that it is possible to be self taught artist. What are your thoughts about this? How did you learn the skills?
A: All artists are self taught, yet each artist is guided by his or her environment, and those within that environment. If you look at a young child who draws a dinosaur, that child draws from a mind that has very little influence on what a drawing of a dinosaur might be. In most cases, the drawing looks nothing like a dinosaur. As we progress as artists, The standards in which we define what art is... rises, forcing us as artists to keep up with what is currently being accepted as art. The skills needed to 'keep up' with what is current comes from that very same environment. Your peers and mentors, help push you and inspire you to reinvent yourself and thus your art.

Q: What was the most inspiring (thing or person) for you in the very beginnings?
A: I was very inspired by the lifestyle of people I met at the tattoo shows early on. They seemed to have a freedom that the corporate life could never offer. Traveling the world, surrounded by great people and in many cases, a sense of family that extends far beyond what most would expect. I met many great friends along my journey so far. People that I would have never met if it wasn't for tattooing. Not only have they helped me better my art, but they helped me to be a better person as well.

Q: How long have you been tattooing?
A: I have been tattooing for a little over 5 years now. It has been a life experience that I wouldn't trade for the world. I hope that my children learn to appreciate the arts like I do... and possibly consider the freedom a career like this can offer

A: It was the day that tattooing became a part of my life, it happens without us realizing it the art becomes a passion and a lifestyle.

Q: Tattoo art requires full dedication. How much time was necessary to develop your skills to this great level?
A: You don't realize the moment but once you look at it as a career and start to understand and study your art that's when you become an artist.

Q: Did you have an artistic background growing up?
A: No, in my case tattooing led me to learn more about the drawing and illustration which led me to experiment new techniques.

Q: What kind of art interested you at the time?
A: Lately I find myself attracted by simple drawings. I'm also attracted to realism because it allows you to show things it a true form. I find that most artists are attracted to the new form of art but find themselves looking into a more traditional style.

Q: Any influences, like painters, musicians? Does the art could make an impact to people enough?
A: At first I found myself admiring others artworks but now I find myself trying to learn as much as I can by looking into new techniques as apposed to taking on someone's style. Art is a part of society, it influences everything we do, we all want to collect art but some of us choose to collect it on the skin.

Q: What made you to become a tattoo artist?
A: A few things had an influence on that decision paralelly. First of all, I have always been drawing, as a young boy I liked to watch horror movies, I was waiting for them till late hours when they were broadcasted on TV, pissing off my parents by that as well... After that, I was drawing characters from those movies - in secret, because my mom forbade me to do it. She thought, maybe she was right, that there was something wrong with my mind haha.
Later on, a teenage inspiration in punk music and psycho-social philosophy connected with it joined my interests, which developed in me a will of passing a message in my drawings. And that's how ambitious drawing began. Everything I did must have had an artistic meaning, gave some thoughts to think of. I didn't feel satisfied with the path I'd chosen at the beginning when I was trying to become an architect... But things started to go in good direction on their own, I gave up studying at the university and bought my first tattoo machine. So everything happened by itself, I've always felt inside of me that I'm destined to be making tattoos.

From Brainstorming To a Brand New Creative Project

Motivation is not something you should learn or you can buy. Everyone struggles with staying motivated and reaching their goals. The reality is that refocusing, changing, or making a new start on something, no matter how small, is a big deal. But it's not impossible. With the right approach, you can definitely do it.

Working on a new goal could be really fun and enjoyable. There are many ways how you can get inspired. You can take advantage of a daily walk, the music your listening to, a person, a memory etc etc...

Brainstorming techniques are also really helpful way to get inspired and develop your goal. When a good brainstorming session ends there are lots of plans coming up. Ideas are just on their way.

This exercise helps writers to gather their thoughts and ideas before they begin writing a paper or other document. The end result of brainstorming should be lists of words or phrases that are somehow related in the writer's mind. These lists may be helpful in the preliminary writing process. Here are some guidelines for this type of invention:

Write it Down
When you got something you think could be a great story or just a great start, write it down. Make sure that always there are some papers around you and pencils so you can draw some sketches or just write in a few words that what you feeling.

Assume that no word is self-explanatory
Continue to focus on one topic word until you cannot describe it with any further detail. In other words, take a deeper look at an individual or minute part of a larger whole.

Courage is simply a progressive decision in the face of resistance but such a decision remains the most difficult kind to make. Leaking Plasma - Tattoo Aftercare Issue

Like any open wound, a tattoo can become infected. Much like piercing, there are several things you should keep in mind to avoid some risks and infections. This can be caused by dirty inking practices or improper tattoo care. Infections can be extremely dangerous if they are not properly treated. Not only do they cause a lot of pain, but they also can be fatal if left untreated. Never let your infection get out of hand.

Sometimes a tattoo will leak plasma - the clearish fluid in your blood - if you had a particularly long session. This is a signal that your body went beyond its threshold and that you need to take it easy for a couple of days and let your body catch up with healing itself.

However, if it's been a couple of days and you're leaking, that is more likely a signal that you're using way too much ointment on your tattoo. Certain ointments tend to cause more leakage on some people than others - ease up on whatever you're using.

You should only be adding a tiny amount, barely enough to give the tattoo a bit of a shine. If it feels wet after application, you're using way too much. If decreasing the amount doesn't help, stop the ointment altogether and switch to another product or just keep your tattoo clean and forget the ointment for a couple days and then switch to lotion.

Q: How did you get into this job? Were you like an artistic kid?
A: I always drew as a kid, I use to copy Disney cartoons and comic books. That's how I taught myself to draw. At an early age though I got into music and began focusing and studying that instead and I kind of left the drawing behind. So I guess all in all I was an artistic kid one way or the other.

Q: How long have you been tattooing?
A: To be honest I started my apprenticeship in '97 learned the old school style of tattooing and kind of struggled to teach myself new things. I never really took it serious and kind of used it as a way to make quick cash. It wasn't really till I moved out to Florida, went back to schooland met my current business partner now that i took it serious at all. About 4 years ago it all changed and I feel like that is when I truly became a tattoo artist.

Q: What kind of tattoos you used to like the most at the time?
A: I had no preference back then really. I just liked whatever artwork I thought to be cool or catch my eye.

Q: Some people say that it is possible to be self though artist. What are your thoughts about this? How did you learn the tattoo skills?
A: I think it is possible, I taught myself a lot about art and tattooing, but at the same time I never came as far as I have now without the formal training and education I received. I did in the last few years what I couldn't do in 10 all because I went back to school for art and started to really push myself to learn.

Q: Were there like any influences that inspired you?
A: There are a ton of influences that inspire me. A bunch of amazing tattoo artists and illustrators, family, friends, and teachers have all helped me to become the artist I am today and hope to become in the future. There are a select few that have definitely had a greater impact on my career and choices though.

Q: To be a creative person means to be open minder, educated, fun, well balanced etc. At least for me. What is creativity for you?
A: I think I can agree with all of that. I don't think I have ever really thought about it. I just always do what feels right I guess. For me I think that is what has always helped me be creative.

Tattoos and Tanning

After your tattoo is healed, from now on, you will always want to protect it from the sun's ultraviolet rays. These can fade and damage a brilliant tattoo very fast. Tanning isn't really good for your skin anyway, but it's even harder on your tattoos. Ultraviolet rays, while adding a nice bronze tone to your skin, drain the life out of a tattoo. The more you tan, the more the ink fades.

What can really help?

Find the highest SPF level you can find and re-apply often if you're going to spend a lot of time outside. If you just can't accept having pasty white skin and your goal is to go out and get some color, make sure you at least protect your tattoos with as much sunscreen as possible.

The best protection, of course, is to avoid exposure to the damaging UV rays – a great idea, but not that practical, since you can be exposed to UV rays while driving your car and even while sitting in your living room! You CAN, however, try and avoid hanging out in the sun when the UV exposure is at its highest.

It's well know that tattooing has evolved in terms of fashion, style, and self-expression. People are tattooing their bodies at a growing rate but there are still some risk factors that we should take care off. It is not necessary that every person, who gets a tattoo, has to suffer from infection, but the risk factor cannot be completely ignored as well.

Nowadays, temporary tattoos could be very fun and attractive, especially to the teens, but there are lots of misconceptions that you should keep in mind.

Here we are, How long does my tattoo will last? Six Months, two years? No one seems to know, because it can’t be done. However, the rumors are real – there are even some tattooers claiming they can do it – some of them say the tattoo will last six months to a year. Some say 3 to 5 years.

The fact is, when you insert tattoo ink under the skin, it's there to stay. It may fade over time, but it won't just disappear. There is no magical ink that fades completely away after a predetermined length of time.

There are 3 main layers of epidermis - most tattoos go into the second layer. But if you only go into the first layer (which would require surgical if not magical precision) the ink may very well fade - but not evenly and not completely. What you'd be left with is a really crappy half-tattoo with splotches of ink here and there.

Artists, musicians, painters etc all those people live in their art world and enjoy their creative journey. Some are well know for their style, some became role models, some are on the magazine covers, some are doing tv shows etc etc. This modern world give us the chance to promote our art in the best way. Get noticed is very easy these days. You can even get noticed on the social networks by making your own online profiles and then getting more targeted audience.

When we have all this options, there is good and bad in the whole process. The good news are, we finally get noticed and someone appreciate and love our work. The negative aspect is that some people get over obsessed with their egos, some are trying to be too exposed, pussy and some become even boring with their over-rated abilities.

So, what we should remember? Is staying humble a good thing, something that will help us to became more respected and loved for all we do?

To stay humble means to be honest with yourself. To be self criticized and to be honest with the people around you. During your art journey you will find yourself beaten down by some negative comments, negative reviews etc. Sometimes, even you can get a bunch of compliments by the people who will really respect and love your art

Q: What made you to become a tattoo artist?
A: It’s a good question. I was 20 years old and I didn’t really know what should I do with my life. I was very young, I did a lot of stupid things when I realized that I had to learn from life to become somebody. I mean to become a man like my father and my grandfather, who were breadwinners in hard times. The communist regime came to an end in those days, tattoos were not that usual. I didn’t know much about tattooing either. Then I hooked up with a girl who had got small tattoos and her idea was that I should make tattoos, too. Later the love ended but an other one came and it seems it lasts for life, the tattooing. Besides the girl’s younger brother, who was 10 years old then, also became a tattoo artist. I am very glad. We haven’t been in touch but I always keep tabs on his work.

Q: How long have you been tattooing?
A: I have been tattooing for sixteen years.

Q: Like I said, your tattoo art is amazing. How much time was necessary for you to get into this great level?
A: Thank your very much but in my opinion I don’t deserve this kind compliment. I often have the feeling that I am only at the beginning of this. The first twelve years of my work was an aberration. The real motivation arrived with the birth of my son, Levente. It happened four years ago and since then I have been feeling that I can give something new to the people. I cast aside everything I thought I knew about tattooing and I started over. You can see the result of this now, but I think I am still far from the level I will be able to reach.

Q: When did you start doing tattoos? What made you to become a tattoo artist?
A: I started tattooing in the summer of 2006. To be honest, I like that the "canvas" is not just an object, but a real person, who trusts you and who is going to have your mark on his/her skin for a lifetime.

Q: Why tattoo artist? Did you have an artistic background growing up?
A: I don't consider myself an artist, I just tattoo... I simply like this varied ,colorful world, and I wanted to try it...And yes, I had some artistic background, not much, just a secondary school of arts.

Q: Whant kind of art interested you at that time?
A: Recently, I am inspired by contemporary artists' abstract and modern works of art.

Q: Do you have any influences or people you admire?
A: I admire every person capable of creating amazing masterpieces on either canvas, skin, or any other material. I think lots of artists must have come from a different planet.

Q: Some people say that it is possible to be self though artist. What are your thoughts about this?
A: The base of art is hard work...The talent you were born with is not enough, as nothing will be drawn by itself. So I think: work, work, work... it is the only way to achieve something, but I'm telling you, as long as somebody is making reproductions, s/he is not an artist, yet.

In the art world there's hundreds of styles unique forms and techniques. There are many artists well know for their own style. If you want to become an artist with your own style, you should develop your skills, get inspired and work a lot.

How & Why to Improvise

Find an inspiration

Everyone's style is influenced by another's. Find a good artist that you admire, "shadow" their work by looking at how they draw their bodies, proportions and how it works together overall. This way you can see the mechanics of their style.

Add some unique details to each painting/drawing

What are some line styles that you are comfortable with? Sharp, quick, pointy lines that feather out? Smooth, round, bold lines? Jagged edges, and pointy features? What lines make your art yours? This is important because your lines are what makes up the "mood" of your style and the "mood" of the characters.

Keep a Journal/Sketchbook Handy

Never go anywhere without some method of recording flashes of inspiration, whether it is a journal, a sketchbook, or a note-taking app on your smartphone. This is helpful for recording ideas as they come to you, so that you don’t have to wrack your brains later and waste time “being creative” to come up with a new idea.

Hello Mr.Oravecz! It's a great pleasure to make an interview with you. I can say that I really enjoyed looking at your portfolio. You seem to be very dedicated and passionate in everything you do. Looking at your portfolio it's a nice way to get inspired, learn and set the thoughts in some other world.

Tell me little about your beginnings...

Q: What made you to become an artist? Did you have an artistic background growing up?
A: I've always wanted to be a painter. I was drawing and painting all the time in my early years. When I grew up I started to learn, how to do art properly. I went to the College of art and in 2007 graduated as a teacher of art and visual communication. But the most important is the curiosity to find a new way to create. I think that's the "engine" of my art.

Q: How long have you been tattooing?
A: I have been tattooing since 2005.

Q: What kind of art interested you at the time?
A: I'm really interested of the contemporary art all the time. I got inspiration from other side of art to make better and more interesting tattoos. I really like photographs, installations, concept arts, and of course paintings. Especially photorealism like István Sándorfi or Helnwein, but I like the surrealistic, minimal and constructive art too.

Q: Tattoo art requires full dedication. How much time was necessary to develop your skills to this great level?
A: Yes its true. You need to be patient, humble and dedicated to be a good artist. I'm always looking for something new, that's my way. I think, if I feel I'm ready is the over of my carrier. I always got lot of information from my environment from the magazines and internet. I filter these info and keep few, which is interesting to me mix them and let them out through my needle. I have always developed myself, but since 2009 when I have joined to Dark Art Team I got a lot of advise from Zsolt Sárközi. He helped me a lot to start thinking some new way of tattooing. I know its a long way but I really enjoy it.

Q: Seems like you are passionate in doing color tattoos. Most of them have strong lines and great highlights. Which is so impressive, at least for me.
Do you consider this style of work as your specialty?
A: Well, Its a hard question, because its a good feeling if the people recognize your style but I don't want to get stuck into one style. I think after years it is rather curse then blessing, if you know what I mean. Its little bit break this way what I have mentioned above. I develop now a brand new visual way of tattooing call " Perfect Chaos", but I've just really started it. We will see.

There are so many styles that you do and seems like all of them are actually your proof of your dedication and love for this form of art- tattooing. Looking at your portfolio it's a nice way to get inspired and set the thoughts in some other world.

In the very beginning of this interview, please feel free to tell us more about your starts in this job, your first experiences etc...

Q: What made you to become a tattoo artist?
A: I decided to become a tattoo artist during my time in the army. It happened one day when I was going through a tattoo magazine and that is where the interest for tattooing hit me.

Q: Like I said, your tattoo art is amazing. How much time was necessary for you to get into this great level?
A: I have been tattooing for over 10 years now. I gain more experience every day, and as the years go by it allows me to experiment in different areas. The variety in designs given to me by clients provides me more of a chance to learn and grow. I grow and gain knowledge every day. The evolution of material is of course a great help too. I also love to paint and that gives me many new ideas for tattooing.

Q: Some people say that it is possible to be self though artist. What are your thoughts about this? What is the best way to learn how to tattoo?
A: I am a self taught artist, so that conclusion agrees with me. However, I speak for myself, not for all artists. For me the best school is experience. And I am blessed as I tattoo on a daily basis. Looking at fellow artist’s work and reading also help me grow.

Q: Seems like your passion is doing color tattoos. Most of them have strong lines and great highlights. Which is so impressive, at least for me. Do you consider this style of work as your specialty?
A: I like to do color tattoos, and the more complicated it is, the more I enjoy it. Black and grey is nice as well. Certain designs look better in color, some do better in B/G. I can do many styles, but color might be my favorite.

Q: Portraits are maybe the most remarkable designs in your portfolio. Do you remember when the impression for this kind of work first began?
A: Portraits are fascinating. And for me it’s all about the eyes, the expression. It’s like in our daily life, where the eyes reveal everything. I like to express that reality in my portraits as well. Once again, portraits can be complicated, so more interesting to me as I want to capture the expression, the person, the mood … so much goes on in the face, the look of a person

Make a Start With Small Steps

Challenges, goals, plans, ideas all those things make us feel better about ourselves. Having an idea to become more successful is one step to the reality. Instead of letting yourself become consumed into thinking about how to get everything done in the entire scope of the project, just take it one step at a time. Whenever you actually get started doing something, it tends to feel less daunting. Once you begin to see any amount of progress, you will become more motivated to push into the project further and continue to get more things accomplished.

Try to be simple as possible & Brake the boundaries
The first phase is making a plan. Write all the ideas that describes your goal. Then, make a selection of the most important ones. Every start could be quite hard. Facing with the new challenges is also a little battle between you and the reality, but hey it doesn't mean that's impossible! Encourage yourself. When you up to something, get involved. Try to do more research. Simple, stick to it and try do something about it. Do not just sit and wait for the thing you want to happen, because they are waiting for you!

Be Practical
If your goal is to be a successful writer, working on the main characters is a great start. Write down all of their personal characteristics, imagine their appearance etc. The most basic ideas are the ideas that will bring you to the end.

Boringness is like an enemy of creativity. So, if you feel sucked in your daily routine, you have to start changing some things about you and even your creative space.

We all have a unique way of expressing ourselves that lends itself to art and artistic expression. Anyone can be an artist because really, as overstated as it sounds, all it takes its lots and lots of practice.

Whether we were born artists (talented by nature) or taught to be artists, in either case, both will end up professional artists if we pursue it seriously! The fact is that both have great love for art, both with time, will improve the passion and patience for art and will develop their own styles. The difference is that talented person might take him/her longer to perfect it. But as for you, who are eager to learn it, have been investing on it, making the special efforts to learn it, you should feel fortunate and wipe your tears.

Whenever you get the chance, do some quick gestures; try drawing a person's face in under a minute. Yeah, its going to be pretty bad for the first few weeks, maybe even months but eventually, your brain will learn that it needs to coordinate your hand so that what you see is translated to the paper. That being said, some people are born with a more natural talent; their brain already is very good at hand-eye coordination. They are usually very good at drawing things they see in their head. A: I think the art, is a restlessness. I've been always interested in painting, illustration, comic, music... I grew up in a very creative family culturally. I used to visit many expositions, museums since I was a child.

A: Graphically, my inspiration is the photography, old illustration, traditional tattoo, c-mic, music... Everything seem to be a great inspiration for sketching.

First, know your goal
Make sure the goal you are working for is something you really want, not just something that must be done. Ask yourself about the things you want to happen and then try to make it real. There must be something that you dream of, things that fascinate you. It's nice if you are completely honest with yourself and set the goals in the right way. Know your abilities and start working.

Make it specific
When you know what you want is a lot more easier to make it happen. Write all the ideas on your mind. Use some sketchbook, draw it if needed, or describe the potential reasons for that goal. It's easier to plan for and master a specific goal than a vague one. Make it specific by defining what you want to achieve.

Break it down

Life is definitely a rollercoaster. It brings us happiness, sadness, temptations etc etc. You really need to handle all of this moods. You never know what life can be at times.
Once, you start to believe in yourself the negativities will disappear completely or reduce substantially, allowing positive feelings of confidence, anticipation and even a general feeling of happiness to fill your mind and body.

How to Train Yourself

Next time you have that errant negative thought about yourself, an action, a project you’re working on, say to yourself, “Is this negative thinking moving me forward or backward? What thinking will rocket me forward?”

Next time someone says to you, “You can’t do that.” or “That’s not the way we do things around here.”, immediately question their beliefs and motives. I’ve found that THEY are usually WRONG.

Next time you are questioning yourself about an action, just do it. In my 20 years of corporate life and 10 years coaching, I’ve found it’s better to ask forgiveness than permission. Take action.

Allergic Reaction

She said I would definitely remember it if I had - it's a series of 3 shots given over a 4 month period of time. It's not something that's going to just slip someone's mind.

Ritual or decorative body piercing is extremely popular as a form of self-expression. Different types of materials are used to make body piercing jewelry including ferromagnetic and nonferromagnetic metals, as well as non-metallic materials. Risks include uncomfortable sensations from movement or displacement that may be mild-to-moderate depending on the site of the body piercing and the ferromagnetic qualities of the jewelry (e.g., mass, degree of magnetic susceptibility, etc.). In extreme cases, serious injuries may occur.

Therefore, if it is not possible to remove metallic body piercing jewelry, the patient or individual should be informed regarding the potential risks. In addition, if the body piercing jewelry is made from ferromagnetic material, some means of stabilization (e.g., application of adhesive tape or bandage) should be used to prevent movement or displacement.

To avoid potential heating of body piercing jewelry made from conductive materials, the use of gauze, tape, or other similar material should be used to wrap the jewelry in such a manner as to insulate it (i.e., prevent contact) from the underlying skin is recommended

Let's start with some basic info about you...

Q: What made you to become a tattoo artist? How long have you been tattooing?
A: I have met a few people who have been performing their art where I live. Since I saw their performance and art, I thought I may do better than them in the meanwhile. I have been performing my art as much as I can, since 2007.

Q: You have a big stunning portfolio. Did you have an artistic background growing up?
A: First of all, thank you very much. However, I don’t have an artistic background and I have never had painting lessons.

Q: Do you think is necessary for one tattoo artist to have some artistic background like painter, flash artist etc?
A: Logically, my answer is yes but emotionally vica verca.lol We have to do our best to be the best in any job.

Q: How has your work developed over the years?
A: Firstly, I have to say that I didn’t start tattooing under the name ‘street shop’ which is only for money issues. I have never sold my dreams for 5-10 dollars. I have only done the tattoos which I enjoy doing even I couldn’t earn enough money to pay my car’s installments. I have a vey competitive character and instead of choosing something
hard I have chosen the hardest. If you are doing visual arts, I think that you have to use your imagination and reflect every bit of it on the skin. This is the area which I have focused my self-improvement on.

Q: What kind of tattoos you used to like the most at the time?
A: At the very beginning, I only used to like black and grey tattoos; but as I have “met” with colors, I realized that the reality of the tattoos may be reflected much better and I have focused on works with colors.

Q: To be a creative person means to be open minder, educated, fun, well balanced etc. At least for me. How do you get inspired?
A: I think slightly different from you on this issue. There are numerous creative artists and painters in the world. Some of these may not be well balanced, educated and funny. However, the top tattoo artists have the innate feeling of being open minded as you have stated.

Q: How long have you been tattooing? What made you to become a tattoo artist?
A: I sort fell into tattooing. At the time, the local tattooing I saw supported the old mindset that tattooing was strictly for bikers and sailors, with little room for "art". I'd always been approached by friends to design tattoos for them, which I gladly did, but I only drew what I knew. Eventually, I thought I'd better look around to see what was the "correct" way to design tattoos. I picked up one mag with a feature on Stephane Chaudesaiges and my prejudices were deflated. What I saw coming out of Europe was fine art on skin and I was instantly sucked in. That was 15 years ago and I've been tattooing 14 of those years.

Tell me little about your beginnings...

Q: What made you to become an artist? Did you have an artistic background growing up?
A: I started drawing when I was very young. Whenever I saw a cool cartoon or action figure I wanted to drew them because that would be the closest thing to an action figure without having to buy it.

Q: What kind of art interested you at the time?
A: Cartoons, He-Man, Transformers, Ninja Turtles

Q: Who or what is your biggest inspiration?
A: I'd have to say my biggest inspiration is anyone with passion and motivation that pursues their artistic endeavors. As far as artists go, Dan Dos Santos, Iain Mccaig, Frank Frazetta, Boris Vallejo, Mark Ryden, Norman Rockwell, Dali, Michaelangelo.

Q: When did you start drawing?
A: Well, I don't want it to sound as a cliche' but I started when I was a kid. I really liked comics so basically I was copying all those superheroes and other things I liked.

Q: Did you have an artistic background growing up?
A: Not really, I studied completely different stuff. Going back I would totally have a proper art formation at school.

Q: I can see a lot of custom designs that you do. How has your work developed over the years?
A: I basically started with photorealism, drawing portraits, eyes, etc... More you learn and more u get into it, the more u start to appreciate other kind of subjects. I guess the path toward abstraction is quite natural, maybe looking for a way to express yourself in a different way. That's the way I got closer to in those last years, more of a traditional approach in tattooing. Especially thinking about the practical limits of skin.

Q: Do you have any preferred?
A: I work different styles, especially after having traveled the world and worked in many shops with many people. But my favorite at the moment is traditional and neo traditional.

Q: How do you get inspired?
A: Obviously the ones that wrote the history of tattooing are a big part when it comes to influences. But inspiration is everywhere, we just have to be open enough to see it. Too often the problem with young and non expert tattooist(not to sadly say "scratchers")is about copying up other artists' work out of the internet or sketchbooks. Internet and reference material are powerful instruments to learn. As long as u use those information to learn and grow up. Not to just copy them because you're too lazy to work your ass off.

Recognizing and treating an infection is very important. Untreated infections can lead to deformity, especially in oral (mouth) piercings. Oral piercings such as Lip and tongue piercings cause dental problems ranging from gum damage and chipped teeth to much more serious conditions, such as blood infections that lead to death.

Inside the mouth
Rinse mouth with cleaning solution for 30 seconds after meals and at bedtime (4-5 times daily) during the entire healing period. Cleaning too often or with too strong a rinse can cause discoloration and irritation of your mouth and piercing.

Larbet / Cheek Piercing
Soak in saline solution and/or wash in mild, fragrance-free liquid soap—preferably anti-microbial or germicidal.

WASH your hands thoroughly prior to cleaning or touching your piercing for any reason.

SALINE soak at least two to three times daily. Simply soak directly in a cup of warm saline solution for five to ten minutes. For certain placements it may be easier to apply using clean gauze saturated with saline solution. A brief rinse afterward will remove any residue.
SOAP no more than once or twice a day. While showering, lather up a pearl size drop of the soap to clean the jewelry and the piercing. Leave the cleanser on the piercing no more than thirty seconds.
RINSE thoroughly to remove all traces of the soap from the piercing. It is not necessary to rotate the jewelry through the piercing.
DRY by gently patting with clean, disposable paper products. Cloth towels can harbor bacteria and snag on jewelry, causing injury.

Much like the rest of the facial piercings, cheek piercing has its own aftercare healing treatment. The healing process takes from 8 to 12 weeks depending on the person.

There is no doubt that without proper care, a body piercing can get infected. An infection can be painful and unsightly, but more importantly can lead to serious health issues if left untreated. Professional Piercing artists will guide you in some aftercare treatment, after you get pierced, but is always good if you know some home made ways to disinfect your piercing jewelry, the pierced area...

A fresh piercing may be swollen and slightly red for a few days. If swelling gets worse or you see an unusual discharge, however, then an infection may be developing.
Gum recession, or periodontitis, is a very common problem with tongue piercings due to the jewelry rubbing against the gums. This can eventually lead to exposed roots, which cause much pain and, eventually, loss of teeth.

Avoid:

Do not play with your jewelry. Long term effects include permanent damage to teeth, gums, and other oral structures.

Avoid undue trauma; excessive talking or playing with the jewelry during healing can cause the formation of unsightly and uncomfortable scar tissue, migration, and other complications.

Using mouthwash containing alcohol. It can irritate the piercing and delay healing.

Oral sexual contact including French (wet) kissing or oral sex during healing (even with a long-term partner).

For the first three to five days: significant swelling, light bleeding, bruising, and/or tenderness. After that: Some swelling, light secretion of a whitish yellow fluid (not pus).
A piercing may seem healed before the healing process is complete. This is because they heal from the outside in, and although it feels fine, the tissue remains fragile on the inside. Be patient, and keep cleaning throughout the entire healing period.

Even healed piercings can shrink or close in minutes after having been there for years! This varies from person to person; if you like your piercing, keep jewelry in do not leave the hole empty.

Stop the Swelling:

Allow small pieces of ice to dissolve in the mouth.

Take an over the counter, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as ibuprofen or naproxen sodium according to package instructions.

Don't speak or move your jewelry more than necessary.

Sleep with your head elevated above your heart during the first few nights.

In the very beginning let's start with some basics...

Q: How long have you been tattooing? What made you to become a tattoo artist?
A: I've been tattooing for over 8 years now. I grew up being involved in punk rock, and there were always tattooed people around me. So of course, it became something I wanted to get, but it was hearing Paulo Sualepe talk about tattooing in a documentary that really made me fall in love. I knew that I always wanted to be a part of tattooing, I just never thought I would be lucky enough to be an actual tattooist. It's still crazy to be that I get to tattoo everyday. Life took me down many corridors, in many directions until I was lucky enough to get an apprenticeship. I am still thankful everyday to guys at Aerochild Tattoos, Justin Kontzen, and Kele Idol for the opportunity and the life I have now.

Q: Did you have an artistic background growing up?
A: I grew up without much money and couldn't afford art classes or supplies. As a kid I was able to get rolls of butcher paper from the newspaper press my dad worked at and draw with pens from around the office. From that paper I was able to bind my own stretch books and indulge my love of drawing constantly. I made little comic books every week, and was always drawing. Life went in different directions and art wasn't much of my focus when I was working towards my major in college. It wasn't until my life turned upside-down ,leaving college, and I had become homeless that I realized how important tattooing is to me, and it became my everything. From there my focus became tattooing, completely.
